This course has been approved for 1.0 technical continuing education credit (#1702). This course was first presented by Regenesis as a live webinar in November 2017 but did not offer LSP credits.
Course Description: The one-hour presentation will demonstrate Environmental Sequence Stratigraphy (ESS), an established methodology that significantly reduces the uncertainty and provides the framework for characterizing contaminant migration pathways and defining the conceptual site model (CSM). Mr. Cramer will present examples that show the efficacy of ESS as a critical path to complex site investigation and remediation. The methodology has been successfully applied at numerous complex contaminated groundwater sites throughout the US, including over 25 US Department of Defense (DoD) facilities. Mr. Cramer’s case studies will provide examples of best practices in applying geology to CSMs and provide “rules of thumb” to test the efficacy of your CSM. Mr. Sandefur will present for the last 20 minutes of the course on “design verification” and how pre-application, field verifications of design assumptions can help refine the site CSM to very specific remedial objectives. Specifically he will discuss how a suite of field sampling and testing activities carried out prior to subsurface remedial reagent emplacement can improve reagent selection and calibration.
Registration Process: Once you complete your registration form for the course, you will receive two emails from the LSPA:
- Your registration confirmation which also acts as a paid receipt.
- An email containing your log-in information and link to directly access the online course. Once this email is sent, you will have 30 days to complete the course. Access to the course and the quiz will automatically expire in 30 days. There will be no extensions or exceptions.
- To receive your CEU, you must successfully complete the quiz and log out of the Learning Management System.
If you have any questions, please email Kristi Lefebvre.
