The Licensed Site Professional (LSP) Association (LSPA) Scholarship Fund provides annual educational scholarships for qualified applicants. These scholarships are available to LSP Association members and members of their immediate families enrolled in a degree program at an accredited New England college or university, and/or to qualified Massachusetts residents who are enrolled in a public or private Massachusetts college or university pursuing a major that is consistent with becoming an LSP or other related environmental professional. Applicants are considered on the combined basis of financial need, academic achievement, and stated interest in becoming an LSP or similar environmental professional.

The specific purpose of the scholarship program is to support continued education in fields relevant to the LSP profession in the Massachusetts and New England region. While the number and amount of the scholarships vary each year, the objective is to provide at least two scholarships each year to qualified individuals in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $5,000.

The application deadline for 2026-2027 academic year scholarships is Friday, May 8, 2026. If you or a member of your family is interested in applying for a scholarship, or if you know of someone who may be interested, download detailed information and application forms from these links:

The LSP Association Scholarship Fund was incorporated in 2006 as a 501(c) (3) charitable organization. The Fund is a separate corporation from the LSPA, but both organizations share the goal of advancing the field of hazardous waste site cleanup in Massachusetts.

In addition to the proceeds from the annual LSPA Fund-sponsored golf tournament and donations from individuals who make contributions (which may be tax deductible), fees and contributions from several LSPA sources are directed to the Scholarship Fund; these include fees from the Peer Review program and proceeds from the Silent Auction at the Annual Dinner. In addition, LSPA course instructors often donate their stipends to the Fund.

We encourage you to support the LSP Association Scholarship Fund.
Remember, your contributions are tax deductible.

Since 2003, the Fund has awarded over 60 scholarships totaling more than $250,000.
