The LSP Association Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for the 2026-2027 academic year. The deadline for applications is Friday, May 8, 2026.

The LSPA’s Scholarship Program supports continued education within environmental fields of study at colleges and universities throughout New England.  While the number and amount of the scholarships vary each year, the annual goal is to provide three to four $3,000 - $5,000 scholarships to qualified individuals.  Scholarship recipients are chosen based on several factors, including past academic performance, stated career objectives, and financial need.

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Kristina Comley Washer, a thoughtful and driven environmental scientist, on June 9, 2025. Kristina was a member of the LSPA from 2021 to 2023 and, in June 2022, she was awarded an LSPA Scholarship.

At the June Membership Meeting on June 11, 2205, the LSP Association Scholarship Fund announced their 2025 recipients. The Fund provides scholarships to LSPA members and members of their immediate families who are enrolled in a degree program at an accredited New England college or university, and qualified Massachusetts residents enrolled in a public or private Massachusetts college or university pursuing a major that is consistent with becoming an LSP or Environmental Professional. Since its inception, the Fund has awarded more than $251,500 in scholarships to 62 deserving students pursuing careers in the environmental field.

The LSP Association Scholarship Fund is accepting applications for educational scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year. Deadline for submission has been extended to Friday, May 29, 2020.

For the past 16 years, the LSPA Scholarship Fund has been awarding educational scholarships to individuals pursuing degrees in the fields of science, environmental engineering, or other majors that are consistent with the goal of becoming a Licensed Site Professional. At LSPA’s June 11^th Membership Meeting in Taunton, MA, the LSPA Scholarship Fund awarded three individual scholarships. 

Veronica Gonsalez received the $5,000 Jeff Hardin Memorial Award, which is presented to an LSPA  member or member of their immediate family, who exemplifies the goal of environmental excellence. For those who remember Jeff, you know he strove for environmental excellence. Veronica is well-deserving of this scholarship.

 For the past 15 years, the LSPA Scholarship Fund has been presenting educational scholarships to individuals pursuing a degree in the field of science, environmental engineering, or other major that is consistent with becoming an LSP or environmental professional.  At LSPA’s June 13^th Membership Meeting in Taunton, MA, the LSPA Scholarship Fund awarded two individual scholarships. 

It's that time of year again!

At the LSPA June Membership Meeting, four educational scholarships were presented by Bill Betters, President of the LSPA Scholarship Fund. The LSPA Scholarship Fund supports individuals pursuing undergraduate or graduate education in environmental fields in Massachusetts and other New England states. Since 2003, the LSPA Scholarship Fund has presented over 39 scholarships totaling more than $160,000.

The LSP Association Scholarship Fund provides a minimum of two $5,000 scholarships each year to qualified individuals interested in pursuing a major that is consistent with becoming an LSP or Environmental Professional. These scholarships are available to LSP Association members and members of their immediate families enrolled in a degree program at an accredited New England college or university, and/or to qualified Massachusetts residents who are enrolled in a public or private Massachusetts college or university. The application deadline for 2017-2018 academic year scholarships is April 14, 2017. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please download the detailed information and application forms.

Thank you to all who attended the 2016 LSPA Annual Dinner. What a great way to kick off the new LSPA year! It was a wonderful night and great to see so many LSPA members, clients, and friends. The LSPA experienced record-breaking attendance, received incredible sponsorship support, presented a very interesting speaker and hosted a successful silent auction to support the LSPA Scholarship Fund.

LSPA Scholarship Fund Awards Scholarship for Environmental Education to Eric Gulbicki of Cooperstown Environmental

Belmont,  Mass. (July 25, 2016) – The LSP Association (LSPA) Scholarship Fund awarded one of its 2016 educational scholarships to, Eric Gulbicki, a North Reading resident and rising senior at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Eric plans on using the scholarship funds for his undergraduate studies in Environmental Science; he has an expected graduation in May 2017.
