This presentation has been submitted to the LSP Board of Registration for 1.0 Technical LSP Credit. This submission will be reviewed during the January 2025 LSP Board of Registration Meeting. This is a new presentation.

Presentation Description: 
This presentation will focus on waste determinations for remediation wastes and when LSPs and other environmental professionals should not use the Chapter 21E Bill Of Lading for shipment of remediation wastes off-site. In addition, the presentation will address how waste determinations must, in addition to laboratory characterization, consider site history with due diligence for identification of activities involving listed hazardous waste.

The training will also cover:

  • Waste determinations for residuals generated from response actions involving treatment,
  • When and how contaminated environmental media may be excluded from being listed hazardous waste,
  • Where hazardous waste contaminated environmental media may be reused on-site, and
  • A case study to conclude the presentation.

A Question & Answer session, moderated by Guy Dalton, LSP, GZA and Co-Chair of the LSPA’s Western MA Committee, will follow the presentation.
