Presentation Description: 

MassDEP leadership will identify and discuss key initiatives that will be the focus of MassDEP and Bureau of Waste Site Cleanup (BWSC) actions in the coming year and review the program’s activities over the past year. Topics will include:

  • Amendments to the Massachusetts Contingency Plan and related implementation steps,
  • Work at Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) sites,
  • Agency and BWSC Environmental Justice focus,
  • Contaminated soil disposal,
  • IT updates,
  • Status of hiring/staffing, and
  • The annual review of BWSC-related measures of success.

A Q&A session will follow.
