This presentation has been submitted to the LSP Board of Registration for 1.5 non-DEP Regulatory LSP Credits. This is a new presentation. 

Presentation Description: 

The focus of this presentation is the 2024 MCP Amendments. Members of the LSPA Regulations Committee will “set the table” by presenting brief summaries of key amendments, to take effect on March 1, 2024, as well as provide “food for thought” comments regarding potential implications of the changes, areas where clarification is needed, and some outstanding questions. The presenters are speaking on behalf of the LSPA and the Regulations Committee only; MassDEP is not involved with this presentation.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Coal Tar  
  • Standards and Method 1  
  • Tier Classifications  
  • Active Exposure Pathway Mitigation Measures  
  • Exposure Point Concentrations and Sampling   

A Q&A session will follow the presentations. For some questions presenters will provide their opinions and, for other questions, they will be unable to answer fully or perhaps at all. The LSPA will view those situations as an opportunity to collect questions to share with MassDEP.
