The LSPA actively advocates for the practice in a variety of arenas: regulatory, legislative, administrative, and the media.
September 19, 2017 The LSPA delivered this letter to the Joint Committee on the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture. This letter is in support of H. 452, which was being heard by the committee and the LSPA was not able to testify in person.
January 21, 2015 LSPA sent a letter to MassDEP regarding the role of LSPs in its yet-to-be-released proposed interim policy for facilities receiving more than 100,000 cubic yards of soil.
November 3, 2014 LSPA Submits Comments on MassDEP's Draft Guidance for LNAPL Site Assessment and Closure The LSPA sent a cover letter and a compilation of comments to MassDEP on its July 1, 2014 Public Review Draft, LNAPL and the MCP: Guidance for Site Assessment and Closure - Policy #WSC-14-450.
September 22, 2014 LSPA Submits Comments on MassDEP's Draft Activity and Use Limitations (AUL) Guidance On September 22, 2014, the LSPA sent a letter and submitted comments to MassDEP on its June 2014 Public Review Draft, "Guidance on Implementing Activity and Use Limitations – Policy #WSC14-300".

March 31, 2014 Comments to MassDEP on the Proposed Underground Storage Tank Regulations, including 310 CMR 80.00.
March 3, 2014 The LSPA’s Letter to the Editor was published in Boston Globe letters section. The letter was in response to a front-page February 23, 2014 Boston Globe article that drew the ire of many LSPA members.
February 25, 2014 The Daily Free Press, the independent student newspaper at Boston University, picked up the (above) Globe story. The LSPA's Susan Chapnick, Board member and Treasurer, was quoted.
January 31, 2014 Cover letter and detailed suggestions to the LSP Board for amendments to the LSP Board regulations at 309 CMR. The LSPA’s suggestions covered a wide range of topics.
