Deadline Extended; Still Soliciting Comments on Two Draft MCP Guidance Documents

MassDEP’s deadlines for written comments have been extended to June 5, 2024 for both guidance documents currently posted on the MCP Amendments web pageRisk Characterization Guidance, Chapters 1-5, Public Review Draft” and “Interim Guidance on Implementing Activity and Use Limitations.” The two LSPA groups reviewing these guidance documents are still looking for comments. LSPA Scholarship Fund Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

The LSP Association Scholarship Fund is now accepting applications for educational scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year. The scholarship program supports continued education within environmental fields of study at colleges and universities throughout New England. Deadline for submission is Friday, May 3, 2024. LSPA Environmental Justice Grants

We received so many strong applications in 2023.  Thank you!  We’re just sorry that we couldn’t fund them all.  Congratulations to the six grant recipients for their impressive projects (most of which are still underway).

Emerging Professionals Resources 

The LSPA's Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) is dedicated to providing educational & social programs for professionals who are new to environmental consulting in Massachusetts. In addition to several other events, the EPC holds two annual events of great interest.  

LSP Exam Prep & Overview features newly licensed LSPs discussing their experiences preparing for and taking the LSP exam.  The most recent videos, which include Q & A sessions, are provided below.
