Congratulations Matthew Young and welcome to LSPA’s Board of Directors!

Matt, a Senior Project Manager in the Environmental Affairs Department of Cumberland Farms, Inc. (CFI), has worked in the environmental industry for over 11 years as an environmental consultant/scientist and environmental project manager. At CFI, he is responsible for managing and collaborating with a team of consulting firms on a portfolio of varied projects in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. These projects include investigation and remediation of impacted properties, investigating and analyzing real estate transactions, and supporting new store construction through remediation, risk reduction, and soil management practices.

Prior to CFI, Matthew worked as an environmental consultant serving customers in retail petroleum, insurance, and property development industries. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry-Geology from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Science degree in Project Management with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems from Northeastern University.

Matt has been an active participant in the LSPA working with the Regulations Committee for 5 years and served as co-chair the last three years. He plans to remain an active member of the Regulations Committee, expand opportunities for advocacy and proactive regulatory and technical discussions, enhance communication to the LSPA membership, and work with the LSPA leadership to continue to provide industry leading services to the membership.
